Present and Future Artists of La Quinta: An Art Sale at Legacy Villas to Benefit the Indio Boys and Girls Club 

-- Friday, January 17, 2014 from 4:30 - 7:30 PM at the Legacy Villas Clubhouse 

-- For the residents and guests of Legacy Villas, 48-800 Legacy Drive (located off Eisenhower between the La Quinta Resort and Hidden Canyon); Legacy Villas is a gated community.

-- Refreshments and music provided by Legacy Villas' own in-house caterer, The Butler Did It of Palm Springs

-- Present and future Artists of La Quinta is organized primarily by artist Micheal Angelo Hernandez who promotes art for students throughout the Coachella Valley. -- Artists must bring their own display items (tables, chairs, fixtures, lights, extension cords). Legacy Villas will provide a comfortable ball room for the event in the clubhouse complex

-- Selected student artists will display their work for sale at the show

Artist DeAnn Foster will teach a class immediately prior to our Holiday Gathering. The class begins at 3:30 PM. Cost is only $6.00. Each participant completes 2 tags.

Sunday, Nov. 24 OPEN STUDIOs in La Quinta

In conjunction with the Creativity in La Quinta exhibition at the La Quinta Museum, selected LQ artists open their studios to the public for a one-day event on Sunday, Nov. 24. 

Starting at 10:00 AM, go to the La Quinta Museum on Calle Montezuma to purchase your map/ticket for $10. 

Beginning at 11:00 AM visit any of the participating artists. 

Female artists include Janice Osborn, Kat Ballard, Ann Wolfe, Lyn Allred,  kathy Cladwell, Sally McKenna, Doriel Wyler, and Jana Baumann. 

Nov. 21 - Private PS Museum Tour

Join Outside the Lines for a private docent-led tour of the Palm Springs Art Museum on Thursday, November 21, 2013. The tour begins at 1:30 PM and is free!

If you like, meet up with others at the museum's cafe at 11:30 for a no-host lunch and social time in the sculpture garden. For more information, contact Lynn Centeno.

Object Trouve Found Art at the Indian Wells Arts Festival

This is NEW NEW NEW. Look for the Eiffel Tower at the 2014 Indian Wells Arts Festival. This year the IW festival will include a new, "festival within a festival" called Object Trouve. Categories include assemblage, collage, sculputre, jewelry, painting, ceramics, and instalations.

Creativity in La Quinta OPEN STUDIO TOUR, November 24, 2013.

Presented by the La Quinta Museum

Purchase a map to the studios for $10 beginning at 10:00 AM at the La Quinta Museum, 77885 Avenida Montezuma, across the street from the softball fields at the city park, or phone the museum at 760-777-7170. Studios are open to those with maps from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Many Outside the Lines artists are participating.

Sunnylands

Plein Air Painting November 20, 2013 from 7:30 AM till 4:00 PM in the gardens.
